Traipsing Tuesday: Rain! πŸŒ§

Hi FitBlitz family! With a hot coffee in hand and listening to the rain lashing the windows, i thought i’d have an interesting walk this morning and it’s only day 2 of hitting the trail. I’m doing 1 lap to start 2023 which works out at 3.5 miles…Which is plenty for me after losing my fitness for having 3 months off, don’t want to do that again, lol! 😨

The avantage for me walking in the rain is i don’t have the blinding sun then the dark shadows of the trees, it’s just a dull grey…Also there is hardly anyone else out there which is great when i’m traipsing around like a lost zombie, lol! 🀣

So there’s no dramas to report today as i made it back home safely although soaked, lol! 🀣 What are you doing to FitBlitz this year?

Let’s ‘FitBlitz’ 2023 Together! πŸ’ͺ🏼

  1. Great stuff Steve…I bet your break was well deserved. We are trying to get back to our running. I would love to try some snow shoe running and to get back to my rings but I need to get some pounds off before that. Well GOD BLESS you and your wife and good luck with the fitness!

    1. Yay, hi there it’s great to catch up again! πŸ˜€

It was so good to have a feast of celebration for completing the challenges i simply thought i could never do…But the feasting went on a little too long! I know what to do and i’ve already started to get back out on the trail and lower my calorie intake to a healthy deficit. πŸ˜€

Wow your running sounds hard, but not quite as hard as rings, lol! They are a beast and the arm strength is amazing!…The biceps on those guys are huge! 😲 I hope you can get things going and achieve your massive goal of getting on those rings! πŸ™ πŸ˜€

      1. Well I have done it before it’s just a matter of getting the extra weight off now Steve…every pound matters for the rings…it makes them all the more difficult! I just need to buckle down and get at it! hat is always the hardest part for me for sure….

  2. Hi Steve,

As always my friend, you are such an inspiration. When it is cool and rainy or even just cloudy, I tend to come up with lots of excuses not to walk outside. I will just have to rethink that!

Happy, happy New Year to you and Sarah!

    1. A happy new year to you & Ken too! πŸ™Œ

I’m not sure about the inspiration part, lol…But if my adventures on the small trail can help you in some small way, i can’t ask for more than that, lol! 🀣 πŸ’ͺ🏼

I hope you can get to see some more of that beautiful scenery (wet or dry) which you have all around you over there! Oh and by the way it’s your fault that got me walking on the trail in the first place, lol…When you did the post about getting a fitbit for Ken…That’s what got me started on my local trail. So i must thank you for all of the challenges, fundraising and crazy walks i’ve done since then! πŸ˜€ πŸ’ͺ🏼
