❤️ #6 Blindman Advent Ultra Step Challenge: 0˚C & Rain!

6th Dec Walk

Hi friends!

I woke up this morning to a frosty 0˚C and as i opened the front door i heard the rain pouring down…Fantastic! 🤣

The rain only lasted for about an hour and i was warming up nicely too. The sun was nowhere to be seen which is great for my eyes and i found the conditions ideal as long as my legs can handle it! 😀

My lovely wife Sarah was also going to get her hair done, so this meant i had another couple of hours walking…BTW…Her hair looks beautiful, what a princess! ❤️ I actually smashed my 20,000 step total for today…And once i stopped tracking my challenge, my overall total steps for today counted over 30,000 steps…I have never reached that amount in the 4½  years since i’ve had my Fitbit! I was so motivated thanks to this step challenge, and for Blood Pressure UK for joining me everyday and cheering me along! 🤣 💪🏼

Oh and i also earned myself a badge too…

As i was walking further down this path that i’d ever been before, as the light conditions were really good for my eyes and it hadn’t just all disappeared…I remembered i needed to get some photos of my walk for you guys to have a look at. So i stood still and simply took a photo looking towards where i was walking, then i turned around and took one from where i’d been, lol! 🤣

  1. Hey Steve,

I laughed when I read your Fitbit numbers. I’m on my second Fitbit and am totally addicted to it (in a good way of course). I find at the end of the day, if I haven’t gotten in my 10,000 steps, I walk around the house. My Fitbit also reminds me to walk at least 250 steps every hour, which is helpful since I spend most of my time sitting in front of a computer.

    Stay well!

    1. Hey Nancy, i know exactly how you feel when you havn’t quite got the 10,000 steps, lol!
I hope you realise that i still blame you for all of this pain i’m in at the moment because of your post about Fitbits years ago, lol! 🤣 And as i love stats (like Ken i think) it’s great keeping check of all the different numbers!
I can’t believe i’ve managed 7 days. My legs and back are hurting as i don’t have any rest days at all out of the 24 days during this challenge…But i’ll keep fighting on and see how it goes! 💪🏼 😀

      1. Dear Friend Steve,

It’s great to have a challenge to keep you in line :).

Please be careful and don’t overdue it. Hah – speaking from experience when I ignored some soreness and it turned into an injury, which sidelined me for a long while. I don’t mean to be negative, since I think it’s great you are so into fitness….I just want to keep you active for a long time.

        Take care.

        1. Hey Nancy!

Please don’t feel you’re being negative…You’re just showing a little of that loving heart of yours, and i thank you for caring about me from so far away! 😀

I’m sorry to hear about your injury and i’m glad you’re back fit again. I’m being really careful by making sure i’m always hydrated, fully fuelled with the right foods and also Sarah has bought some bath salts for muscle repair etc which i soak in each night. Fortunately my legs have always been my strongest due to many years of football (soccer in the USA) although they are getting lots miles and are just about holding on, lol. I’ll keep your warning in mind though and knowing you’re here cheering and supporting me all of the way, i hope to make it to the finish! 💪🏼 😀

Thanks once again and it’s always great to see you here! 😀
